I have over 20 years experience in the green industry and a degree from Virginia Tech in Crop and Soil Environmental Sciences with Turfgrass and Agronomy being the focus of my studies.  Prior to opening my own business, I worked at several Central Virginia golf courses and spent 2 years with the Department of Conservation and Recreation helping to develop and promote their Turf and Landscape Nutrient Management Program, including participating in writing DCR’s Urban Nutrient Management Handbook and VGCSA’s Environmental Best Management Practices for Golf Courses.

Five Oaks Agronomy Consulting, provides Soil Testing and Nutrient Management Plans for the Turf and Landscape Industry specializing in Golf and Sports Turf.

I am blessed to own my own business and am able to devote my free time to Amherst County Habitat for Humanity where I am the Volunteer Construction Lead. If I’m not out on a golf course or sports field you can usually find me swinging a hammer.
